Pearsonvue administers NCLEX tests

PearsonVUE administers high-stakes tests every year all over the world for clients in the licensure, certification, academic admissions, regulatory, and government testing service markets. It is the world’s leading test center network, with over 5,000 test centers in 165 countries, 230 of which are fully-owned and -operated Pearson Professional Centers.

Pearsonvue also administers NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN tests, a nursing board exam for US graduates and internationally-trained nurses who wish to work in the US.

Pearsonvue NCLEX Testing

Pearsonvue and NCSBN utilizes Computer Adaptive Testing (CAT) method in administering these NCLEX tests. CAT merges existing computer technology with modern measurement theory to increase the efficiency of the testing process. In NCLEX test, different types of question formats are used, such as, multiple choice, select all that apply(SATA, multiple response), fill-in-the-blank, drag and drop and questions that uses images, charts, tables, sounds, etc. Regardless of these types, all items are scored as right or wrong with no partial credit.

You can have at least 75 questions to answer, or as much as 265, depending on the computer’s assessment of your competency. There’s no exact percentage of passing, just pass or fail results.

Pearsonvue also offers NCLEX Quick Results on some participating states. You can access your ‘unofficial’ results online or via phone call 2 business days after the exam for a fee.

You can take the NCLEX test in any Pearsonvue Test Centers located in the following countries:

But before you can take the NCLEX in Pearson Testing Centers worldwide, you must apply and be approved to take the exam (with NCLEX ATT) by a Board of Nursing in the United States.
