The U.S. Mission in Manila is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the fulltime position of Registered Nurse which will 40 hours per week in the Medical Unit (MED). This appointment is permanent with annual salary of ₱770,568.
In the Vacancy Announcement No. Manila-2019-094, US Embassy in Manila stated that the candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (4 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Those accepted will serve as the post’s nurse with responsibilities that include the medical care of Mission employees and eligible family members under MED approved clinical guidelines, as well as maintenance and inventory of all medical equipment and supplies, implementation of a robust vaccination program, administration of group and individual health education programs, and medical emergency contingency planning for the Mission.
The nurse will work in the Medical Unit under the direct supervision of the Regional Medical Officer (RMO) or Medical Provider (MP), and perform other duties as assigned by the agency.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE: Two years of post-qualification work as a professional nurse is required.
EDUCATION: Completion of bachelor’s degree in nursing is required. (Attached a copy of Transcript of Records and/or Diploma if available).
LANGUAGE: Level 3 (Good Working Knowledge) Speaking/Writing English and Tagalog language is required. This may be tested.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have a solid working knowledge of MED’s RN Clinical Practice Guidelines and be familiar with American Nursing Standards of Care. Must possess and maintain a valid nursing license or a current unrestricted Registered Nursing license from the host nation, country of origin, or the U.S.
